About Shizentai Judo Club

Shizentai Judo club is registered with both the British Judo Council (BJC) and British Judo Association (BJA). The club is a not-for-profit organisation which means any funds raised, go back into the club and our members.

 

All coaches are registered to the BJC and/or BJA, have an up to date DBS check and have completed first aid and safeguarding training, alongside additional training in coaching individuals with additional needs, mentorship etc. The club has two designated welfare officers who are available and approachable at club sessions.


Shizentai Judo Club offers judo for all ages, beginners to black belt. The club has several coaches per class so content can be adapted as required to support varying levels of needs, including those with with additional needs such as a Learning Disability, ADHD, ASD, Visual Impairment etc.

The club welcomes diversity and difference and is a values led community.


Practising judo is great for general wellbeing, fitness, disipline, confidence and a sence of community.
