Here at Shizentai we are lucky to have a long and successful kata heritage. Five of our coaches are members of the British Kata team, having each competed at numerous European and World Championships events, and having won over 20 British titles between them across 4 disciplines.

 

The club offers a kata class every Thursday where players can practice their chosen kata, and receive up to date expert coaching from our team, who have gained knowledge and experience from some of the best kata practitioners in the world. We are able to coach players in any of the Kodokan kata, and can work with players from beginner to advanced levels. We can also prepare players for competition or grading, and as 2 of our coaches are BJA Senior Kata Examiners, we can also assess players for their next kata certificate.
